Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at West Valley Psychiatric Services, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
\n
• Assessment and diagnosis of mental health issues, creating personalized treatment plans that reflect the needs and preferences of clients.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

• Maintaining accurate and timely client records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other relevant software tools.
\n
• Engaging in regular supervision and consultation to stay updated on best practices and support professional development.
\n
• Collaborating with other mental health professionals and external partners to ensure holistic client care.
\n
• Participating in community outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. A key aspect of your role will be to provide culturally competent services tailored to different backgrounds, ensuring that each client's unique needs and customs are respected. By fostering a safe and inclusive environment, you will help clients achieve meaningful personal growth and improved family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited program.

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
\n
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in both English and Spanish, enabling the delivery of bilingual psychotherapy services.
\n
• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting working with diverse populations.
\n
• Demonstrated respect for cultural diversity and commitment to providing culturally sensitive care.
\n
• Proficient in using EHR software, Microsoft Office, and various telehealth platforms.
\n
• A commitment to ethical practice in accordance with HIPAA regulations regarding confidentiality.
\n
• A valid Driver's License and car insurance, with the ability to provide transportation as needed.
\n
• Availability to work at least two evenings a week and one weekend day.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While the following are not mandatory, preferred candidates will have:

• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic approaches, such as trauma, grief & loss, or LGBTQ+ issues.

• Experience providing telehealth services and familiarity with telehealth best practices.
\n
• Previous involvement with insurance panels as an in-network provider.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
