Child and Family Services (CFS) of Casey Family Programs provides direct services and tribal consultation in pursuit of Casey’s mission to provide, improve, and – ultimately prevent the need for – foster care. CFS operates nine field offices in five states and an Indian Child and Family Well‑being Program office that demonstrate direct service and ICW improvement models. Job Summary The Director of CQI & Business Planning leads continuous quality improvement, business planning including budget process, and project management efforts for Child & Family Services (CFS) in partnership with organizational leaders and teams. This role analyzes, develops, and implements core business processes, policies, procedures, tools, and reporting practices that support program operations, budget management, contracts, and performance improvement. The Director identifies operational needs and information gaps, translates data into actionable insights, and advances systems that improve outcomes, efficiency, and alignment across CFS. Essential Responsibilities Partner with the Senior Director of Operations to support CFS business planning, budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting. Supervise CFS Practice & Operations team members, providing coaching, feedback, training, performance evaluation, and leadership development opportunities. Lead complex, cross‑functional projects from planning through execution, including scope definition, timeline management, deliverable tracking, and team communication. Provide strategic leadership for quality improvement efforts through data analysis, operational reporting, and implementation of effective improvement practices. Integrate operational processes and technology initiatives to improve efficiency, strengthen systems, and advance equitable outcomes. Analyze, interpret, and report operational, financial, and program performance data; engage leaders, staff, and stakeholders in applying findings to business strategy and practice improvement. Build relationships with staff to understand barriers, challenges, workflow constraints, and opportunities for improvement. Oversee the Continuing Education and Job Training (CEJT) scholarship program which provides financial and program support to young adults as they pursue post‑secondary training and education. These responsibilities require the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across diverse communities, services, staff, and stakeholders; advance diversity, equity, and inclusion; work both independently and as part of a team; exercise sound judgment; and apply strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. The role also requires close collaboration with leadership and staff to ensure work aligns with organizational values, goals, and directives. Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, psychology, public policy, or another human services field, plus at least seven years of experience in operational and/or analytical roles, is required. Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff is essential. Proven experience managing organization‑wide project lifecycles and leading large, multifunctional teams. Expertise working with highly complex, organization‑wide data and reporting systems. Systems thinker with strong problem‑solving skills and a demonstrated ability to identify and execute operational improvements. Highly self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage individual workload while performing effectively in a fast‑paced work environment. Demonstrated ability to successfully lead project teams in deploying technology and data solutions that help solve business problems. Proven management skills, sound judgment, flexibility, critical thinking, and priority‑setting are highly desired. Excellent training, coaching, and facilitation skills with the ability to develop staff competencies in 1:1, small group and/or large group settings. Experience with data analysis, reporting and visualization tools, including Tableau and SQL Server. Proficient in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Salesforce, SharePoint, and project management tools. Demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly. Demonstrated commitment to equity, respect for tribal sovereignty, and respect for cultural, racial, and gender differences is required. Adaptability, curiosity, collaboration, self‑reflection, and commitment to lifelong learning are essential. Ability to work onsite full‑time and maintain regular, reliable attendance is required. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; ability to type and work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function. Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information. Travel is required for meetings, conferences, trainings, and events, up to 40%. Driving on Casey business may require use of a personal vehicle; adherence to vehicle safety guidelines and qualification for insurance is required. The typical hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $122,570 to $144,200. The full salary range for the role is $122,250 to $165,830. As a mission‑driven organization, Casey strives to balance competitive pay with our mission. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job‑related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. Casey Family Programs offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, accrual of 12 days of annual leave, 12 days of sick leave,10 paid holidays per year, and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year. Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. After the completion of 10 years of continuous, full‑time regular employment, employees in good standing are permitted for a three‑month sabbatical with pay.
