Job Details Specialty: ICU / Critical Care Registered Nurse Employment Type: Travel Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights Schedule: 3 shifts per week; approximately 36 hours per week Contract Length: 16 weeks Start Date: 9/13/2026 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 Setting: ICU/PCU hybrid, mixed critical care unit Location: Olathe, KS Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-Call: Not required Floating: Expected to float to PCU, CCU, and other inpatient units as needed EMR: Epic Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU / critical care RN experience Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification Experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open heart patients required Must be comfortable drawing own labs, placing PICC-related support, and managing consults and codes independently Prior experience floating to PCU, CCU, med/surg, med/tele, acute/tele, and ED preferred Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity critical care setting Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a mixed ICU/PCU environment Care for neuro, spine, cardiac, medical, and surgical patient populations Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition Assist with advanced critical care interventions and procedures Manage patient priorities with a 2:1 critical care ratio, flexing to 3:1 as appropriate Collaborate with the care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes Float to additional inpatient units based on staffing needs and prior experience Complete orientation and onboarding requirements in preparation for assignment start Apply now to explore this ICU RN travel contract in Olathe, Kansas, and join a team committed to excellent critical care nursing.
