Lab Technician - Materials Science

Beta Analytic has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician . This is a full‑time hourly position – 40 hours per week. Overtime may be paid at 1½ the equivalent hourly rate. The position also includes medical insurance and other employment benefits. Position Overview The Company is currently seeking qualified, hard‑working, team‑oriented applicants for this laboratory position. Note – We are a production laboratory, not a research facility. After appropriate training, independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS’ analytical SOPs. Use basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies. Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of equipment. Assist with validation and MDL studies. Input and maintain technical information as needed to support laboratory functions and operations. Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable. Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a science field is required (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, etc.). A minimum of one year of hands‑on laboratory work, including college or university experience, is preferred. Strong attention to detail is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with computer software skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort interfacing with staff members at all levels of the company. Be an overall team player. Demonstrated ability to multi‑task and prioritize work to maximize efficiency and meet established deadlines. Show accountability. Experience with cryogenics, chemicals, vacuum systems, pressure fittings, and familiarity with the behavior of gases under changing pressure (physical chemistry) is a plus. Additional Key Requirements Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States. The position has physical requirements such as standing for long periods of the day, climbing stairs, and regularly lifting as much as 40 pounds. Local candidates only (Miami‑Dade & Broward).
