Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time | Exempt | Direct Hire

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join a growing manufacturing team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality products to support production and operational goals. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing procurement, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to supplier management and cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers to support production and operational requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchasing terms to maximize value and reduce costs.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring quality, delivery, and overall performance.
• Coordinate with production planning and operations to maintain appropriate inventory levels and prevent shortages.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, reduce costs, and increase supply chain efficiency.
• Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, and cost data to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, finance, and logistics teams to ensure procurement aligns with business objectives.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Assist with import purchasing and customs-related processes when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management.
• Knowledge of import purchasing and customs clearance is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
