About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Must have 2+ years of experience. Experience in a level II or higher facility. Must be proficient in Orthopedic trauma, Crani procedures, Burr holes, Robotic general (Appendectomy, Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy), Cystoscopy, ENT, Total Joints. Must be proficient in DaVinci robots. Description: General information about the unit includes 11 operating rooms. The patient to nurse ratio is 1:1. Availability of unit secretaries and tech support is present. The unit is equipped with Hanah tables, Jackson tables, vascular beds, Cysto beds, and Robot beds. Documentation is performed using an electronic health records system. Scheduling requires availability for 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. Call duty includes one night a week and one and a half weekends every 8 weeks. A full weekend consists of 48 hours, while a half weekend consists of 24 hours. The floating policy will be applicable as per hospital guidelines. The unit prioritizes patient experience and satisfaction. Advanced skills required include proficiency in robotic-assisted surgery. Procedures performed on the unit include Cystoscopy, Lumbar Laminectomy, Total Joints, Robotic general surgery, Robotic GYN procedures, ENT surgeries, minimal plastic surgeries, and breast surgeries. The dress code follows established unit guidelines and policies. Additional information will be provided upon request regarding unit-specific policies and recognition awards. Modern equipment and technology are utilized within the unit to enhance patient care. Schedule options are flexible to accommodate staff needs.
