Development Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Foundation for Catholic Education is seeking a full-time Development Coordinator to oversee and expand our TuitionCare program, a community-based initiative that connects local taxpayers and Catholic school families to support tuition assistance through the EITC program as well as partner with our Vice President of Development to raise funds. This role blends program management, donor stewardship, communications, and grassroots engagement to ensure initiatives grows as a vital support system for Catholic elementary schools across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Fundraising Support

• • Lead TuitionCare Program
  • Manage SPAT program assignments
  • Maintain and update donor records, gift entry, acknowledgements, and reporting within the donor database/CRM
  • Assist with annual fund campaigns, donor appeals, stewardship efforts, and fundraising communications
  • Support donor prospect tracking, mailing lists, sponsorship fulfillment, and pledge management
  • Prepare donor materials, briefing documents, reports, and meeting support materials
  • Coordinate thank-you letters, tax acknowledgements, and stewardship touchpoints
  • Assist with grant support materials and reporting preparation as needed

Event Coordination & Logistics

• • Support planning and execution of fundraising and community events including golf outings, receptions, cultivation gatherings, and other initiatives
  • Manage event registration systems, RSVP tracking, sponsorship coordination, and event communications
  • Coordinate vendors, materials, timelines, volunteer support, and day-of logistics
  • Assist with post-event reporting, acknowledgements, and stewardship follow-up

Administrative & Operational Support

• • Provide administrative support to the development team, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and document preparation
  • Assist with board and committee meeting logistics and materials as needed
  • Help maintain development calendars, timelines, and internal project tracking systems
  • Support organization-wide communications and collaborative initiatives across departments
  • Manage office and operational tasks connected to advancement efforts

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, program coordination, or development.
  • 1–3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with Blackbaud or other donor databases a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable engaging with school leaders, donors, and volunteers; occasional local travel required.
  • Strong alignment with the mission of Catholic education and a passion for community-centered impact.

Location & Schedule:

• • Based at the Foundation's headquarters in West Chester, PA with flexibility for event support.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during program events.
