HR Generalist (Temporary)

Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid)


Compensation: $28-$33 per hour


Duration: ASAP through September-December 2026

LHH is partnering with a client in Baltimore, MD, that is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative HR Generalist to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will play an important part in maintaining smooth HR operations and providing a positive employee experience through day-to-day support of human resources and payroll activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, supporting employees, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. Experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro) is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support across a variety of employee lifecycle activities.
  
  
• Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding processes.
  
  
• Process employment and income verification requests for employees, lenders, and prospective employers.
  
  
• Manage unemployment claims and maintain related documentation.
  
  
• Review and audit bi-weekly payroll for accuracy prior to processing.
  
  
• Respond to employee inquiries through the HR inbox and route requests appropriately.
  
  
• Process payroll adjustments, deduction changes, earnings updates, and manual payroll corrections.
  
  
• Prepare and distribute recurring monthly HR reports for internal stakeholders.
  
  
• Support HR leadership with special projects and additional administrative responsibilities as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Human Resources experience required.
  
  
• Experience supporting payroll processing or payroll administration.
  
  
• Experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro) strongly preferred.
  
  
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  
  
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
