We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer Machinist for a direct hire position in Beaumont, CA. This role requires expert-level programming experience and offers a chance to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment specializing in plastic injection molding and PVC components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to quality while working closely with the machining team and reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manually develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC lathe programs using G-code for optimal performance
- Set up and operate CNC lathes for production runs and prototype development
- Perform tooling changes, offsets, and machine calibrations to maintain tight tolerances
- Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications accurately
- Inspect machined components with precision measurement tools to ensure quality compliance
- Analyze machining methods and implement solutions to improve productivity
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize workflows and resolve technical issues
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in CNC lathe programming and machining, preferably in plastics or injection molding
- Proficiency in manual G-code programming with the ability to independently create and edit CNC programs
- Strong skills in CNC setup, tooling changes, offsets, and machine calibration
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications precisely
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for quick resolution of machining issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CNC milling, including 4-axis setup and operation
- Background in plastic injection molding manufacturing processes
- Ability to optimize CNC programs and machining processes for improved efficiency and quality
