Position Summary What you’ll do: Leads and develops teams by teaching, training and actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicates business objectives to teams. Models exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model and supporting customer service initiatives, including community engagement programs. Develops action plans to correct deficiencies, provides process-improvement leadership and ensures a high-quality customer experience. Financial and operational leadership: Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting and forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring alignment to sales. Monitors merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes, and develops action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. People leadership: Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, setting expectations, recognizing performance, and promoting a culture of belonging. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and company growth potential. Operations and collaboration: Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, communicating goals, and tracking progress. Demonstrates adaptability and promotes continuous learning in the workplace. Policy and ethics: Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and upholds mission, values, ethics and integrity by implementing action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in daily business practices. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and other position-specific pay elements. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications. 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required. For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings). Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring and firing.
