After using Filevine for case management since 2017, the firm is transitioning to EvenUp's AI-powered case management platform to streamline routine administrative tasks, improve workflow consistency, and allow Case Managers to focus on medical management, strategy, negotiation, and client relationships.\n\n Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, bilingual Personal Injury Case Manager to oversee a portfolio of pre-litigation personal injury cases from initial case development through settlement. The Case Manager will serve as the client's primary point of contact and will be responsible for medical management, treatment monitoring, client communication, insurance-adjuster communication, case strategy, settlement preparation, and negotiation under attorney supervision. This is not a purely administrative position. The firm has Case Coordinators and technology systems that support claims setup, records collection, lien matters, and other administrative processes. The Case Manager is expected to understand the complete case, identify opportunities and risks, guide the client's medical treatment journey, resolve bottlenecks, and make informed recommendations to the supervising attorney. The ideal candidate can independently manage approximately 70 to 80 active cases while maintaining close attention to the facts, injuries, treatment, insurance coverage, damages, and strategic nuances of each matter. As the firm's AI tools and standard operating procedures continue to develop, the caseload may increase to approximately 100 active cases. Success requires more than high-volume experience. The firm is seeking someone who can manage a substantial caseload while providing thoughtful case strategy, accurate documentation, timely follow-up, strong client service, and individualized attention.\n\n Work Arrangement This is an on-site position based at the firm's office in Henderson, Nevada 89052. Candidates must be able to commute reliably to the office and work the established full-time schedule. Remote employment is not currently available for this opening.\n\n Caseload and Performance Expectations Active Caseload The expected starting caseload is approximately 70 to 80 active pre-litigation cases. The caseload may increase to approximately 100 cases as the firm completes its technology implementation and improves workflows. The firm currently signs approximately 30 new cases per month across a team of approximately five to six Case Managers. Case Managers must move cases forward consistently so that incoming and resolved cases remain reasonably balanced. Performance Expectations Case Managers are expected to: Meet established key performance indicators. Follow the firm's standard operating procedures. Maintain accurate and current case-management records. Progress cases without unnecessary delay. Complete timely client follow-up. Monitor treatment and prevent gaps in care. Obtain and evaluate insurance coverage information promptly. Review and finalize demands efficiently. Resolve cases at an appropriate pace while maintaining quality. Work independently and ask targeted questions when attorney input is genuinely required. Use AI and automation to improve efficiency without sacrificing accuracy or professional judgment. Key Responsibilities Pre-Litigation Case Management Manage a portfolio of personal injury matters from post-intake case development through pre-litigation settlement. Maintain a complete understanding of the facts, liability, injuries, treatment, insurance coverage, damages, and strategic posture of every assigned case. Develop and update case plans based on the unique circumstances of each client. Monitor deadlines, case milestones, outstanding tasks, and potential delays. Identify case risks, missing information, and strategic opportunities. Advance cases consistently in accordance with firm KPIs and SOPs. Escalate legal, ethical, medical, coverage, or valuation concerns to the supervising attorney. Prepare matters for attorney review, demand submission, negotiation, settlement, or transfer to litigation. Medical Management Guide clients through the treatment phase of their personal injury claims. Monitor medical treatment, diagnoses, referrals, imaging, specialist care, procedures, and recovery progress. Review medical records, diagnostic reports, billing ledgers, treatment summaries, and provider recommendations. Identify treatment gaps, missed appointments, unresolved referrals, or documentation deficiencies. Communicate with clients regarding the importance of treatment compliance and medical follow-up. Help coordinate communication with medical providers when records, bills, referrals, or treatment updates are needed. Evaluate whether the medical documentation supports the reported injuries and claimed damages. Identify when attorney input is needed regarding treatment strategy or case value. Maintain accurate and timely medical-management notes in the case-management system. Medical management and client communication are the primary responsibilities of this position. Client Communication and Support Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. Provide regular and meaningful case-status updates. Explain the pre-litigation process, treatment expectations, insurance procedures, and next steps. Communicate complex legal and medical information clearly in English and Spanish. Respond to client questions promptly and professionally. Set appropriate expectations regarding timelines, settlement, treatment, and case progression. Document all important client communications. Recognize when a client concern requires attorney involvement. Maintain empathy while encouraging accountability and cooperation. Deliver an organized, responsive, and professional client experience throughout the case. Insurance Coverage and Adjuster Communication Communicate with liability and first-party insurance adjusters. Obtain policy information, declaration pages, and available coverage limits promptly. Follow up consistently when carriers fail to provide required information. Use approved third-party services when necessary to obtain policy-limit or insurance-coverage information. Monitor liability decisions, coverage questions, recorded-statement requests, and claim developments. Maintain accurate documentation of adjuster communications. Escalate disputed liability, inadequate coverage, bad-faith concerns, or complex insurance issues to the supervising attorney. Avoid unnecessary delay when a firm-approved cost or vendor service is necessary to move the case forward. Demand Package Review Use the firm's AI-supported demand process to generate draft demand packages. Review AI-generated demands carefully for factual, medical, financial, and legal accuracy. Confirm that the treatment chronology, injuries, diagnoses, medical expenses, lost wages, and damages are accurately represented. Verify that exhibits and supporting documents are complete, correctly labeled, and consistent with the demand. Identify missing records, bills, reports, photographs, wage documentation, or other evidence. Correct errors or incomplete information before attorney review. Submit the demand to the supervising attorney for approval. Finalize and send approved demands to the appropriate insurance carrier. Track demand deadlines and adjuster response dates. The Case Manager does not write demands manually from the beginning. The firm uses AI to prepare the initial draft, but the Case Manager remains responsible for reviewing its accuracy and ensuring that the final package is complete and appropriate. Settlement Negotiation Review settlement offers and supporting case information. Communicate with adjusters regarding offers, counteroffers, and outstanding case issues. Negotiate personal injury claims under attorney supervision. Prepare case summaries and recommendations for attorney review. Understand the relationship among liability, causation, treatment, damages, coverage, liens, and settlement value. Communicate authorized offers and settlement developments to clients. Document negotiations accurately and promptly. Follow attorney direction regarding settlement authority and negotiation strategy. Recognize when a matter should be escalated or evaluated for litigation. Property Damage Support Work with Case Coordinators to help clients resolve property-damage matters. Assist with vehicle-repair coordination. Help clients obtain rental vehicles when coverage is available. Support total-loss documentation and communication. Communicate with insurance carriers regarding property-damage status. Escalate disputed valuation, coverage, or liability matters when appropriate. Prior property-damage experience is helpful but not required. The firm can provide training in this area. Case Coordinator Collaboration The Case Manager works in tandem with a Case Coordinator who may assist with: Opening insurance claims. Requesting medical records and billing statements. Supporting lien-reduction activities. Maintaining administrative documentation. Completing other routine case-support tasks. The Case Manager remains responsible for overall case strategy, medical management, client communication, meaningful follow-up, demand readiness, and case progression. Settlement and Case Handoff Continue communicating with clients after a pre-litigation settlement. Coordinate with the accounting and disbursement team as it prepares the final settlement distribution. Keep clients informed regarding lien resolution and expected disbursement timing. Confirm that case-management tasks are complete before closure. Transfer cases to the litigation team when a lawsuit becomes necessary. Prepare clear handoff information when transferring a matter. Ensure that the client understands the transition to the litigation team. Case Managers do not remain responsible for the litigation phase once a case is formally transferred. Technology and AI Adoption Use EvenUp's AI-powered case management platform as the firm's primary case-management system. Follow automated workflows, voice-agent processes, task reminders, and future SOPs. Use AI-generated work product as a starting point while independently verifying accuracy. Adapt quickly to system modifications and new technology. Maintain complete and accurate data within the CRM. Use technology to reduce routine administrative work and increase time available for strategy and client service. Provide feedback on workflows and system improvements. Remain open to continued automation, artificial intelligence, and legal-technology developments. Because the EvenUp case-management platform is new, previous experience with it is not required. Experience with Filevine or another legal case-management platform is beneficial. More important is a demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technology.\n\n Required Qualifications Must-Have Qualifications At least one year of direct personal injury law firm experience. Experience managing or materially supporting pre-litigation personal injury cases. Professional fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken. Ability to communicate legal and medical concepts accurately in both languages. Experience communicating directly with personal injury clients. Working knowledge of motor vehicle accident claims. Ability to interpret medical records, diagnostic reports, treatment notes, and billing ledgers. Understanding of the pre-litigation personal injury case lifecycle.
