Full-Time Licensed Therapist for Culturally Diverse Outpatient Practice

Position Overview Blissful Retreat Psychotherapy Services is seeking a dedicated and culturally attuned full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist. This position involves providing effective and compassionate mental health therapy to individuals from various backgrounds in a remote work setting, ensuring that all clients receive culturally sensitive care tailored to their unique experiences. Work Environment The therapist will work in a remote outpatient office, benefiting from a flexible work environment that promotes both professional growth and work-life balance. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to accommodate the diverse needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive assessments to understand the diverse needs and mental health backgrounds of patients, leading to the development of individualized treatment plans. Utilize evidence-based therapies and interventions, incorporating cultural and personal factors into therapeutic practices to enhance patient outcomes. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, promoting mental health awareness, resilience, and community support among patients. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure holistic care for patients and effective treatment outcomes. Provide crisis intervention services and support, helping patients navigate mental health emergencies with empathy and professionalism. Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their care. Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements. Actively engage in ongoing professional development through case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training. Stay abreast of the latest research in mental health therapies, ensuring that our practices maintain high standards of care. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will have experience working with a wide range of patients, particularly those from ethnic and cultural minority backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrant populations. Our practice strives to provide a welcoming environment that respects each individual’s identity and personal experiences, making cultural competence a key focus of our services. Qualifications A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A current and valid license to practice as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey. Demonstrated expertise in understanding various mental health disorders and applying evidence-based, culturally responsive treatment approaches. Significant experience providing both individual and group therapy in a manner that is inclusive of diverse cultural perspectives and identities. Strong crisis intervention abilities and a calm demeanor when dealing with high-stress situations. Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of building rapport with a diverse clientele. Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems to effectively document patient progress and treatment outcomes. Adherence to ethical guidelines and standards of confidentiality in all professional interactions. Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and supporting shared goals for patient wellness. Preferred Experience Experience in outpatient settings providing therapy to multicultural populations, specifically in addressing the challenges faced by immigrants and marginalized communities. Familiarity with telehealth practices and platforms to provide effective remote therapy options. Advanced training or certifications that enhance therapeutic techniques within cultural contexts. Compensation and Benefits The compensation package for this position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
