Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated General Manager to lead our St. Louis facility. This role involves overseeing all aspects of facility operations, from strategic planning to financial management, team leadership, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans to achieve company objectives, align with overall business goals and market analysis, drive revenue generation and cost control initiatives. Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including production, quality control, safety management, plant maintenance, logistics and supply chain management, inventory management and capacity planning, and warehouse operations. Financial Acumen: Develop and manage the facility’s budget, ensure responsible spending, maximize profitability, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven decisions to improve financial results. Team Management: Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team; foster a positive work environment through team building, delegation, performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition and training/development initiatives; ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA and DOT/FMCSA; oversee compliance audits and risk management programs. Technical Proficiency: Possess a strong understanding of laundry processes, equipment, chemicals and industry standards. Problem Solving & Communication: Effectively identify and resolve operational challenges using troubleshooting, root cause analysis and critical thinking; communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, with suppliers and customers; demonstrate strong negotiation skills. Customer Focus: Drive customer satisfaction by resolving complaints effectively and building strong customer relationships. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration (operations management focus), or Mechanical Engineering. 3-5 years of experience running or managing an Industrial Laundry with tunnel washers, preferably handling 10+ million pounds a year. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt (preferred). Medical Laundry or Hospital experience with Joint Commission and Infection Control certified linen and laundry management experience (preferred). Business acumen at a level to interact with C-suite members weekly; appropriate P&L experience. Five (5) years of experience in a General Manager or similar leadership role. Proven track record of success in strategic planning, financial management, operational efficiency and team leadership. Strong understanding of relevant regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, DOT/FMCSA). Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software. Benefits Competitive pay. Paid holidays.
