Corporate Associate

The Merker Group is working with an Am Law firm that is seeking a corporate associate with 3 to 6 years of transactional and M&A experience to join its Corporate team in Chicago, Los Angeles, or Miami. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in private company M&A, including representing private equity and sponsor clients in acquisitions, dispositions, and growth equity transactions. Responsibilities include taking the lead on initial deal stages, such as negotiating term sheets and drafting or marking up purchase and merger agreements. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with shareholders and engage in business development and client-facing activities within a cohesive and collaborative multidisciplinary practice. Required Experience: 3+ years of experience in private company M&A, including representing private equity and sponsor clients in acquisitions, dispositions, and growth equity transactions.
