Maintenance Technician

Performs maintenance duties at various agency properties across the region. Ensures quality of work and timeliness of completion for maintenance projects. Sites located in Wilmington, OH; Franklin, OH; and Lebanon, OH.

Position Description

Ensures the overall maintenance of multiple agency facilities; work is completed timely and with quality. Performs primarily interior and exterior building maintenance and repair works such as basic plumbing and electrical, carpentry, painting, wall repair and replacing doors/parts. Picks up supplies and equipment for facilities. Works with external vendors and contractors as needed. Monitors work to ensure compliance with specifications. Moves furniture and equipment as necessary. Maintains accurate documentation of work orders through agency system. Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and plans. Ability to plan material and supply needs. Knowledge of building maintenance techniques and tools involved in the upkeep of buildings, fixtures and structures. Knowledge of emergency procedures. Skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and preventive/general maintenance. Driving of personal vehicle.

Job Requirements

High School Graduate or High School Equivalency. 1-3 years of experience. Valid driver license and auto insurance.

Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Frequent standing and walking. Infrequent sitting. Gross Mobility: Frequent climbing or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling. May require ability to walk up to 4 flights of stairs consecutively, depending on location. Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity and visual accommodation. Occasional talking.
