Position Type: Support Staff/ Personal Care Assistant Date Posted: 9/2/2026 Date Available: ASAP TITLE: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Meet one of the paraprofessional competency training requirements below: Two years of post- secondary education coursework (48 college credits) or Highly Qualified Special Education Certificate through PDE or Passing score on the Comprehensive Assessment of Paraprofessional Educators (CAPE) Test or Possess the ability to obtain highly qualified status through educational opportunities provided within the timeline of the district. Prior experience working with students with disabilities Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks(Use code 1KG6XN) within the last twelve (12) months. Job Outline: Personal Care Assistants are assigned to support individual students and are expected to transition with their assigned student as the student progresses through grade levels. This may include moving between buildings (e.g., from elementary to secondary schools) as needed. The purpose of this continuity is to provide consistent and stable support for the student.
