The Utility also offers some of the most comprehensive rebates in the country for residential and commercial customers to make energy efficiency improvements to their homes and buildings.Work DescriptionAustin Energy is recruiting for a highly experienced and effective Business Analyst Senior. Austin Energy's Advanced Metering Systems & Engineering (AMSE) program is part of the utility’s Advanced Grid Technologies group, focused on various electric metering technology. This highly technical position will report to the AMSE Program Manager. The successful candidate will have exceptional skills in data analysis, testing coordination, process write up and process design. The candidate must also exhibit demonstrated success in project coordination, including stakeholder relations, working with vendors, consultants, and cross functional teams.Essential duties and functions may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned: Research utility usage, determines average consumption, verifies interval data, and investigates high usage or other anomalies for possible causes and resolution.Extracts data and presents facts to customers providing utility reports, as needed, for management of usage.Evaluates different metering events and make manual adjustments as required.Contributes to assigned utility projects from initiation to completion. Maintains, safeguards, and provides original documents.Presents metering data as required to billing resolutions related to MV90/AMI billing reads.Reviews and performs data extracts from metering system to external systems and customer review.Develops, revises, and implements procedures and processes to facilitate the meter reading processes.Assists in the resolution of questions or concerns by providing supporting documentation related to the meter reading.Coordinates and assists the metering engineers with setup and tracking of data related to meters in metering lab, including the coordination of systems with data entry.Coordinates and documents business level requirements, design for system and process flows.Deliver efficiencies and service improvements, leading on continuous improvement initiatives, including: Improving the customer experience including proactive action to prevent future complaints; Exploring opportunities for collaboration across business units and divisions within Austin Energy; Process efficiencies and communications enhancements.Must have good communication skills and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships.Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)Minimum (Required): insert specific minimum skills for this Contract Position)Years - Skills/ExperienceYES - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Business or Management, Engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems; 4 years of experience can substitute for degree4 - Years of relevant experience in addition to degree requirementsPreferred (Optional): insert specific preferred skills for this Contract Position)Years - Skills/Experience3 - Experience in a utility setting5 - Experience in AMI and MV90 systemsTERM OF SERVICE (Required): insert approximate start and end dates March 22, 2022 through September 30, 2022 (May be extended into FY23)WORK HOURS AND LOCATION (Required): insert preferred work hours and work location for this Contract Position) Monday – Friday; Hours will be 8 to 5 with one hour for lunch.
