This full-time position, running from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, is a great match for professionals passionate about making a difference in special education or school nursing. The role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Ideal candidates will bring several years of prior experience in school settings, blending clinical expertise with a love for education. Previous work as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Special Education Teacher with students who require additional support is highly valued. The position is designed for those who are adaptable, dedicated, and eager to collaborate closely with educators and other healthcare staff.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license (Illinois preferred) with school-based nursing experience
• OR background as a Special Education Teacher with relevant certification
• Experience supporting Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and advocacy skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility and initiative in fast-paced educational settings

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive health services or specialized instruction to students in line with IEPs and care plans
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student learning and wellbeing
• Monitor student progress and document services, interventions, or medications as needed
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for students and staff
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
