Operational Maintenance Manager I

Cencora seeks an Operational Maintenance Manager I to oversee preventative maintenance and material handling equipment at a partially automated distribution center in California. This compliance-critical role involves managing a small team, ensuring facility efficiency, and coordinating equipment repairs and system upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Oversee small maintenance team, direct workflow, train, and monitor performance of warehouse associates
• Schedule and execute preventive maintenance programs for building and material handling equipment
• Diagnose equipment failures and coordinate repairs to minimize facility downtime
• Develop annual operating budget for utilities, spare parts, training, and maintenance contracts
• Assess material handling equipment efficiency and coordinate system upgrades with vendors

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities/Plant Management preferred
• Minimum 5 years directly related experience in automated distribution warehouse operations
• Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment systems
• Ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems with PLCs and microprocessors
• Experience developing preventive maintenance programs and disaster planning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; AutoCAD knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of building automation systems such as Trane Tracer Summit or Manhattan Associates PkMS
