College Work Study Student - CSN Libraries - Henderson Campus - Fall 2026

Job Overview College of Southern Nevada – Federal Work Study Student, Office of Student Government and Leadership Development (Fall 2026). Hiring Department: CSN Libraries. Supervisor: Ashley Soberanis & Joshua Rushing. Location: Henderson Campus. Work hours: up to 20.0 per week. Hourly rate: $14.00. Responsibilities Check library materials in and out to library users using automated library information systems. Shelve library materials multiple times a day, performing shelf‑reading and dusting of assigned sections as scheduled. Issue new and replacement library cards to patrons. Answer and transfer calls on multi‑line phone. Assist walk‑in students in the use of general office equipment, printing and/or various computer related issues. Perform daily cleaning and dusting. Additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Computer experience required. Ability to alphabetize with accuracy and speed. Ability to push heavy book carts up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and/or sit for long periods of time. Dependability and punctuality are a must. Preferred Qualifications Customer service skills preferred. Ability to interact and communicate well with others in person and over the telephone. Ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and courtesy preferred. Basic office equipment troubleshooting skills also preferred. Required Attachments 1. Resume/CV 2. Eligibility Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply. Students must show a financial aid eligible major declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar, meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term, and display degree‑compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment. Students cannot work another part‑time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student. Closing Date 10/2/2026.
