Financial Clerk — KYA Inc.

 

KYA Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Clerk to join our collaborative architectural practice. This full-time, in-office position plays an important role in supporting the firm's day-to-day financial operations while partnering closely with leadership, project managers, consultants, and vendors. We are looking for someone who values accuracy, embraces teamwork, and enjoys contributing to a positive, people-focused workplace.

Because this role works closely with multiple departments and handles sensitive financial information, this is an in-house position based in our Honolulu office and is not a remote or work-from-home opportunity . Being present in the office allows for collaboration, timely communication, and strong support of our project teams.

 

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare client invoices and monitor payment activity
• Enter, reconcile, and maintain accurate financial records
• Track project expenses and assist with project accounting
• Support payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
• Maintain organized accounting documentation and files
• Assist with month-end reporting and other accounting functions
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate financial information

 

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative finance experience
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and invoicing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
• Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or another professional-services environment is a plus
