Capital Project Manager

We are supporting a leading industrial manufacturing organization undertaking a significant manufacturing consolidation project in the Dallas area. This role will lead the transfer and integration of manufacturing equipment and production capabilities from an existing facility into a larger manufacturing site, creating a more efficient operation capable of supporting future growth. This is a highly visible assignment requiring a strong project leader who can anticipate issues before they arise, challenge assumptions, manage risk, and ensure all project stakeholders remain aligned against cost, schedule, and operational objectives. Responsibilities include: Leading the overall execution of a large-scale manufacturing consolidation and equipment transfer program. Acting as the primary point of coordination between the business, the EPC partner, equipment vendors, contractors, and operational stakeholders. Holding project partners accountable for delivery against agreed schedules, budgets, milestones, and project objectives. Identifying project risks, execution gaps, schedule concerns, resource constraints, and operational impacts before they become critical issues. Developing and maintaining project governance processes, reporting structures, and stakeholder communication plans. Coordinating activities across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, and external project partners. Supporting equipment relocation, installation, commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities. Ensuring manufacturing continuity and minimizing disruption to production throughout the transition process. Providing regular updates to senior leadership regarding project progress, risks, mitigation plans, and critical decisions. Driving issue resolution across multiple workstreams while maintaining focus on overall project objectives. The Ideal Candidate This role is best suited to someone who naturally operates as the hub of a complex project. You are comfortable working with executives, plant leadership, contractors, engineers, operators, maintenance teams, and external project partners. Y ou know how to identify risks early, ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and maintain momentum across multiple stakeholders without losing sight of the bigger picture.
