Job Summary

Hunter Foundry is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying inventory, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring materials and products are received and shipped accurately and on time. This role plays a key part in supporting warehouse, production, and customer delivery operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.

· Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and damage.

· Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments according to company standards.

· Create and maintain shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and receiving logs.

· Schedule pickups and coordinate transportation with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight companies.

· Accurately enter shipping and receiving transactions into inventory or ERP systems.

· Maintain organized inventory and warehouse storage areas.

· Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.

· Conduct inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed.

· Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies.

· Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

· Assist with general warehouse duties and material movement as required.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations preferred.

· Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.

· Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks preferred.

· Forklift certification is a plus.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
