Position Summary: The Laboratory Technician will report to the Lab Supervisor and will contribute to the completion of R&D projects with a focus on product development, manufacturing, testing, and quality. This is an entry-level, full-time position with opportunities for advancement. Roles and Responsibilities: Support project-driven activities within the R&D laboratory in line with specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), approved test methods, and safety policies. Prepare, weigh, and mix ingredients for product samples and experimental laboratory batches following provided guidelines. Operate scales, mixing equipment, stirrers and homogenizers in accordance with written instructions. Calibrate laboratory equipment in accordance with quality procedures. Maintain comprehensive records of all laboratory activities in a laboratory notebook. Undertake general laboratory operations such as chemical inventory management, supply of consumables, disposal of expired products or samples, and maintaining overall organization. Ensure a safe and clean work environment, keeping work areas and laboratory equipment tidy and organized. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience in batch making, blending, mixing, or compounding. At least 1 year of experience in a chemical, food, dietary supplement, or cosmetic laboratory setting. Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) environments is preferred. Hands-on experience with standard laboratory instruments and equipment. General knowledge of wet chemistry methods including weights, volumes and measures, viscosity, density, pH, and titrations. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.). A degree in Chemistry or a related science is highly preferred. High School diploma, GED, or technical school training with relevant work experience may also be acceptable. Additional Skill Sets: Strong organizational and analytical skills, with effective time management capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports, logging data, and generating documents using a computer. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, reach with hands or arms, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds as may be required. Compensation: Hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience and education. Job Type: Full-time, in-person work environment.
