About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to spearhead the design and implementation of a comprehensive, long-term fundraising strategy. The CDO will play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to advance policies that facilitate and expand eligibility for record clearance, with a focus on the significant number of individuals in the U.S. affected by past arrest or conviction records. This includes those whose ability to find work, pursue education, obtain professional licenses, and engage in family and civic life is impacted. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of a robust fundraising plan to support the organization's initiatives and will work closely with the CEO to ensure the financial sustainability of the mission. Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a proven track record in fundraising, with experience in designing and executing successful development strategies. The role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the community. A deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape and experience in grant writing, major gifts, and donor stewardship is essential. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for the organization's mission, with the ability to effectively communicate the impact of their work. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
