• The duties of the OMH facility Pharmacy Technician include the following:

• Fills and organizes medication carts

• Delivers medications to designated units

• Delivers medications using medication carts

• Receives and stores orders

• Monitors inventory levels

• Conducts routine checks for outdated or expired medications

• Supports the pharmacist in preparing medications for both outpatient and inpatient use

• Repackages medications following facility guidelines

• Assists with maintain pharmacy records

• Cleans and performs basic maintenance on the repackaging machine

• Assists with the end-of-day pharamacy closing procedures

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience assisting with the filling under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Current pharmacy technician certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or Certificate or diploma from a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
