Qualifications

We presently have an employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in our Corporate operation. In this new role, the Procurement Specialist purchases and assists in the acquisition of materials needed for production, general supplies for offices and facilities, equipment, or services.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Seeks reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices.
• Requests proposals and price quotes; conducts cost/benefit analyses; and makes recommendations based on results.
• Maintains required inventory and order point levels and forecast of upcoming demand. Determines quantity and timing of deliveries and verifies receipt of goods and services requested.
• Keeps track of phone records (cell-phones and land lines) for all providers and users. Compares prices, equipment, and plans to user needs and locations and deciphers appropriate charges to employees.
• Ensures satellite and cable television are working correctly and that any repairs are performed as needed.
• Keeps records and creates reports regarding supply and costs. Makes spreadsheets for pricing and cost comparisons.
• Reviews invoices for accuracy and communicates with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Makes airline and hotel accommodations for business trips including training trips.

Position Requirements:

• 3-5 years of purchasing experience.
• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).
• Organizational skills for efficient office control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and networking skills.
