Job Description

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a specialized, nationally recognized center providing the highest level of care for sick or premature newborns. As an RN in this Level IV center, you will engage in advanced treatment for conditions such as respiratory failure and heart disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill newborns.
• Monitor and assess patient health and implement nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate families on care procedures and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License issued by the State of New York.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in a NICU setting.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• NRP 8th edition Certification required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Epic experience is highly desired.
