We are seeking a creative, energetic, and highly engaged Social Media Specialist to bring the Sarris Candies brand to life across social media and digital channels. This individual will play a key role in creating engaging content, managing our online presence, connecting with customers, and identifying opportunities to keep Sarris current, relevant, and exciting in the digital space.

The ideal candidate is creative, trend-savvy, and hands-on, with the ability to create engaging content, respond quickly to emerging trends, and strengthen the Sarris Candies brand across digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management & Content Creation

• Manage day-to-day social media activity across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other relevant platforms.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with marketing campaigns, product launches, seasonal promotions, holidays, and company initiatives.
• Create, capture, edit, and publish engaging content, including short-form videos, Reels, TikToks, photos, graphics, Stories, captions, and other digital assets.
• Capture content featuring Sarris products, employees, events, retail locations, and behind-the-scenes activities.
• Maintain a consistent Sarris brand voice while developing fresh, engaging content that connects with our audience.
• Use tools such as Canva, Adobe, Monday.com, and other content creation or scheduling platforms to organize and execute content.

Trends, Strategy & Community Engagement

• Stay current on social media trends, viral content, trending audio, hashtags, platform updates, and emerging features.
• Identify relevant trends and execute content opportunities quickly while ensuring they align with the Sarris brand.
• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to generate new ideas and identify opportunities to increase engagement.
• Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, mentions, tags, and customer inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
• Build relationships with customers, content creators, influencers, and brand partners while identifying opportunities for user-generated content and collaborations.
• Test new content formats and creative approaches, using performance insights to help evolve Sarris Candies' social media strategy.

Analytics & Performance

• Track social media performance, including engagement, reach, impressions, follower growth, video views, and other relevant metrics.
• Prepare performance reports, identify successful content, and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Use platform analytics and audience insights to guide future content and improve overall social media effectiveness.

Digital Marketing & Cross-Functional Support

• Assist with email marketing campaigns, website updates, product descriptions, promotions, and blog content.
• Support digital marketing initiatives, giveaways, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and other promotional activities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Sales, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across digital channels.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of major social media platforms, particularly Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Experience creating and editing short-form video content, including Reels and TikToks.
• Strong writing, editing, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, analytics, and content creation platforms such as Canva, Adobe, or similar software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing trends and business needs.
• Basic knowledge of content management systems such as Shopify or WordPress is a plus.
• A portfolio or examples of social media and content creation work is strongly preferred.
