Manufacturing Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary

Performs repairs on diverse industrial, facilities and optical manufacturing equipment while conducting and driving preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime. The role requires troubleshooting, installation planning and implementation, production team collaboration, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and detailed operations, and detailed record keeping.

Primary Responsibilities/Job Duties

• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on a variety of equipment, including but not limited to compressors, polishers, coiling machines, machining equipment, electro-mechanical systems, light sources, forklifts, hydraulic systems, etc.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, implementing effective solutions
• Assists with the selection, planning, and implementing of new or replacement equipment; takes ownership of installation project components as required
• Collaborate with the production teams to ensure all machinery and equipment is operating efficiently and safely
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• General Facilities based duties as directed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed

Required Knowledge and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/overtime, as needed
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62

Additional Job Details:

• Pay - $20.00 - $32.00 an hour
