This individual will be responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory, supporting growth initiatives, and managing a cross-functional team. The role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence through strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Greeneville, TN facility.Role Responsibilities:Develops and manages the overall production planning activities for the plant maximizing customer service, delivery, production utilization, material control, inventory control and purchasing. Manages inventory levels including establishing goals, rotating stock, managing purchasing and supply base and developing methods and procedures. Develops long range planning initiatives for production control group, which includes continuously evaluating the plant’s needs capacities, capital, and expenses, to meet growth goals. Establishes effective communication with internal departments to ensure on time delivery of product and team support. Minimizes interruptions to production schedules through effective parts and materials procurement practices. Assists in planning the operating budget.Manages team of buyers, planners, shipping and receiving team members for 2 facilities at the Greeneville site.Lead the plants S&OE processes to align demand, supply, and scheduling to meet customer demandsMinimum Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field OR equivalent experience5+ years of professional level manufacturing/production control experiencePrior people-management experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience in production control, materials purchasing, inventory planning, detailed scheduling, warehouse management, and logistics in a manufacturing environmentCPIM, CSCP, or CLTD from APICS ASCM or other national certificationExposure to ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis and ad-hoc reportsExperience with Business Intelligence (BI) software for data mining and dashboard developmentBackground in Kaizen, or continuous improvementExperience in Lean Six Sigma, or project managementImmigration Sponsorship Not Available:Applicants for this position must be currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.).
