Director of Marketing & Communications
Visit Greensboro is seeking an agile, outward-facing professional who thrives on relationship building, public engagement, and brand leadership to serve as the new Director of Marketing & Communications.
This is a dynamic, high-velocity role vital to the success of the Guilford County / Greensboro Tourism Development Authority (GCGTDA). This position is responsible for the entire marketing and communications efforts of Visit Greensboro and manages a dedicated team of four. This person MUST be a strong self-promoter with a huge emphasis on driving the organization's message to both the local and visitor audience.
Operating in a very fast-paced environment, this leader must possess immense drive, a willingness to put in necessary hours, and the ability to work quickly to meet fast turnaround times and demanding communication needs. By partnering with sales teams focused on sports and meeting tourism, this role directly contributes to building a positive perception around Greensboro's sports, group, and cultural tourism.

The Greensboro Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is an independent, non-profit governmental authority whose mission is to aggressively market Greensboro's assets, maximizing economic impact while providing excellent visitor service.
Travel and tourism generated nearly $1.7 billion in Guilford County in 2023, employing more than 11,000 in travel-related jobs, according to "The Economic Impact of Travel on North Carolina Counties" study prepared for Visit North Carolina by Tourism Economics.
