Hotel Maintenance Engineer (Full-Time)

Engineering Maintenance TechnicianDoubletree West Palm Beach Airport is seeking a dependable and skilled Engineering Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall operation and appearance of the hotel property, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.The ideal candidate will have experience in general hotel maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems and guestroom issues.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spacesTroubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systemsRespond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service callsComplete routine inspections of equipment, systems, and facilitiesMaintain pool, grounds, lighting, and exterior areas as assignedEnsure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policiesAssist with painting, carpentry, drywall, and minor renovation projectsMaintain accurate maintenance logs and work ordersSupport emergency response procedures and after-hours needs when necessaryWork collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure excellent guest satisfactionQualificationsPrevious hotel maintenance or engineering experience preferredWorking knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenanceAbility to use hand and power tools safely and effectivelyStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksFlexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as neededExcellent communication and customer service skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insuranceCompetitive payPaid time off401(k) planCareer growth opportunities with StepStone HospitalityStepStone Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace for all team members.RequirementsThese are required of every associate.· Minimum lifting of 70 pounds.· Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.· Hearing, writing, typing.· Minimum pulling of 70 pounds.· Other duties may be assigned.Additional responsibilities specific to you are:· Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.· Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.· Must have good mathematical and computer skills.· High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.· CPR training and first aid training preferred.Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities.
