Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Job Summary Bozzuto Group, LLC seeks a motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing top‑notch insurance solutions, and contributing to the growth of our business. Duties and Responsibilities Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding each client’s business operations, risk exposures, and insurance needs, and providing tailored insurance solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, policy changes, renewals, and claims‑related matters. Manage a designated portfolio of commercial insurance clients, ensuring timely, accurate, and proactive service. Conduct periodic client reviews to assess evolving exposures and recommend appropriate coverage enhancements or adjustments. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling additional insurance products to support client retention and growth. Prepare complete and accurate submissions to the insurance marketplace. Review, negotiate, and secure coverage terms, conditions, and premiums with insurance carriers. Prepare and present insurance proposals, renewal strategies, and coverage recommendations to clients. Lead client renewal meetings and present renewal outcomes, coverage changes, and strategic recommendations. Handle policy renewals, including ordering and analyzing loss runs and coordinating necessary program adjustments. Perform detailed policy checking to ensure accuracy between binders, policies, invoices, endorsements, and commissions. Issue, review, and manage Certificates of Insurance, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Review client contracts for insurance requirements and provide recommendations or proposed modifications to coverage terms. Process policy changes, including change requests, endorsement follow‑up, and final policy review. Provide claims advocacy support, including assisting with claim reporting, monitoring claim progress, and ensuring timely resolution. Conduct claim reviews with clients, providing status updates, explanations of outcomes, and action plans when needed. Oversee ordering and receipt of MVRs and loss runs. Maintain accurate and complete client records and documentation within the agency management system. Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and internal team members to support new and renewal strategy, client retention, and service excellence. Support producers with new and renewal planning and strategic account management initiatives. Participate in onboarding new business accounts to ensure a smooth transition and proper coverage setup. Train, mentor, and oversee assigned support staff, ensuring quality control and adherence to agency procedures. Stay current on industry trends, carrier appetite, and regulatory changes impacting commercial insurance. Participate in light travel for client meetings or industry‑related events, as needed. Education and Experience College‑level education or equivalent experience 5‑10 Years of P&C insurance experience License/Certification Active Property & Casualty insurance license in good standing. Must maintain licensure and comply with applicable insurance regulations.
