Work From Home ACH Operations Manager

The Enterprise Payments (EP) Automated Clearing House (ACH) Operations team is currently searching for a Principal Associate to manage the File Processing function at Capital One. The ACH operations team is aligned to the Retail Bank, but manages all the processing of ACH transactions for the Enterprise. Our work includes processing files for both Card and Bank customers throughout the day, as well as remediating a variety of file exceptions.

As a People Leader within the ACH organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ACH File Processing team. The ACH manager will partner with line of business ACH stakeholders on processing issues, deliver results around the ACH modernization agenda, and drive our well-managed strategy in a fast paced environment. Additionally, you will support the data transformation efforts to ensure the ACH team is equipped with fundamental skill to analyze ACH data.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing daily operations of ACH File Processing team (morning shift of 5 associates) Hours of operation are 7AM Est - 11:30 PM Est
• Escalate and communicate issues to lines of business and EP leadership
• Works with partner groups within ACH value stream to drive process change and problem solve complex issues
• Oversees operational process, recommends and implements modifications to improve quality and efficiency
• Act as a liaison for ACH stakeholders to drive change for ACH Modernization efforts for the File Processing team
• Responsible for ensuring ACH resources are available and prepared for all audit engagements, Process Level Assessment activities and SOX controls and testing support
• Responsible for working with applicable functional teams and or data to research and resolve issues for internal and external customer complaints.
• Supports Knowledge transfer by designing and implementing training for associates for continuous learning
• Analyze potential training and enhancement opportunities relative to team tenure / experience
• Attend industry working groups and represent Capital One on behalf of ACH

Work from Home Technology Requirements

• Secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
• Reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot is required
  • A private network that is password protected where you have ownership or line of site sight to every device on the network
  • Internet service must be provided by Cable or Fiber Internet Service Providers (ISP)
  • Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactions
  • ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5Mbps, with 10+ Mbps preferred
  • To validate ISP speeds from a Chrome browser, go to type Speed Test and run from the Google landing page
• Both Hardwire and WiFi internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are met

Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice. Internet Service Provider specs can change by provider and location within the US. If you are experiencing consistent issues with internet stability Capital One reserves the right to ask the agent to upgrade internet service to ensure a good customer experience.

Work from Home Location Requirements

This role is 100% work from home. We are unable to consider applicants who do not meet the required Capital One Work at Home compatible internet access or who live in the states of California, Hawaii, or US territories. Work from home U.S. based associates are not permitted to work internationally, outside of the continental United States (i.e. Hawaii or U.S. Territories), or California.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
• At least 3 years of ACH processing or payment processing experience
• At least 3 years of coaching, mentoring or people leadership experience
• At least 3 years of experience in process or operations management
• At least 2 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office
• At least 1 year of experience in risk, compliance or audit

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or Military experience
• At least 5 years of ACH experience
• At least 4 years experience in risk, compliance or audit
• At least 4 years of people leadership experience
• At least 3 years of Google Sheets experience
• At least 2 years of ACH modernization experience
• At least 1 year of project management experience
• At least 1 year of experience working with Pep+
• Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification or Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) certification
