General Summary: The Youth Programs Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of The Cooperative’s youth programs; Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) and Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE). The Youth Programs Manager is involved in program planning, training, orientation, and evaluation activities and serves as the link between PREP and local, regional, and statewide education, health and community partners and providers, while maintaining PREP program fidelity and evaluation profile. The Youth Programs Manager serves as a facilitator of Get Real and Teen Outreach Program curriculum to high school aged youth (15 – 18). Essential Functions: The Youth Programs Manager will contribute to The Cooperative’s commitment to equity and continuous quality improvement that aligns with the agency’s mission, goals, and advancement. The Youth Programs Manager will effectively cross-collaborate with agency staff, leaders, and board members to foster a comprehensive approach of information sharing, working committees, and collective representation. The Youth Programs Manager will have the opportunity to routinely disseminate relevant information, presentations, training, and learning opportunities for internal program and agency staff. When applicable, the Youth Programs Manager will participate in relevant staff development opportunities (training, summits, conferences, etc.) to increase skill development, elevate program goals, and engage staff members with timely key learnings. Responsible for assisting the Associate Director in establishing and implementing proposed program objectives and activities and participates in identifying and planning to address new youth programming needs. Establishes and maintains relationships with youth organizations in target counties to identify host sites for curriculum delivery including securing an MOU at each setting and hosting staff training. Finalize recruitment plan and implementation at each site. Improve interaction and communication among youth-serving organizations, youth, educators, parents/guardians, and the community. Assist with managing the program budget on a consistent basis. Collaborates with the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) program coordinator to monitor program goals and budget. Assists in developing and implementing program evaluation activities. Facilitate PREP cohorts in assigned counties guided by existing evidence-based Get Real and TOP curriculum. Oversees PREP and SRAE professional training program, including identifying new audiences, conducting trainings, and maintaining training program evaluation data. Collaborates with the Associate Director and The Cooperative communications staff in coordinating PREP promotional activities and developing appropriate student education materials. Facilitates relationships with school and community service partners and agencies to ensure program fidelity, and adherence to program requirements. Represents PREP and The Cooperative at national, statewide, regional, and local meetings and conferences. Serves as primary point of contact for NJ DOH PREP program officer. Works Collaboratively with the SRAE coordinator to monitor grant deliverables. Facilitates regular Youth Programs staff meetings to review and monitor SRAE and PREP program goals. Assists Associate Director in preparation of regular SRAE and PREP progress reports, grant applications and other reports as required by The Cooperative, State, Federal government, and funding sources. Minimum of 3 years’ experience of youth related service delivery or youth related programming. Experience with managing a team, demonstrating strong leadership and team building skills. Strong administrative skills, including strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact with diverse professional and client populations. Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs within a team environment. Valid driver’s license, car, and current insurance policy. Physical Requirements: Must be able to see to read documents and hear well enough to communicate with others. Must be able to write, type on a computer, and use a telephone. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
