Payroll Administrator

Payroll Coordinator Quince & Co. | San Francisco, CA Position Summary Quince & Co. is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support payroll administration across our growing collection of restaurants and hospitality businesses. This role is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining complete payroll records and providing responsive support to employees and managers. The ideal candidate has experience processing payroll in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and understands the complexities of hourly payroll, including tips, overtime, meal premiums, deductions, and California wage-and-hour requirements. Hospitality or restaurant experience is strongly preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process biweekly payroll accurately and within established deadlines Review employee timecards for completeness and accuracy Work with managers to resolve missing punches, timecard discrepancies, and payroll adjustments Process new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, garnishments, and other payroll updates Review overtime, meal premiums, paid time off, sick leave, and other earnings Coordinate the accurate reporting and distribution of tips and service charges Maintain employee payroll records and supporting documentation Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, deductions, direct deposit, and tax forms Assist with payroll corrections, off-cycle payments, and final paychecks Support quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for Finance and Human Resources Assist with payroll audits, workers’ compensation reporting, and compliance requests Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information Identify opportunities to improve payroll procedures and internal controls Provide administrative support to the Finance and Human Resources teams as needed Qualifications Two or more years of payroll experience, preferably within hospitality or a multi-location organization Working knowledge of California wage-and-hour regulations Experience with hourly payroll, tips, overtime, meal premiums, and final-pay requirements Experience with Paylocity or a comparable payroll system preferred Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Clear, professional communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Collaborative, service-oriented approach to supporting employees and managers About Quince & Co.
