Portfolio Manager

First Eagle Bank

This position reports to Chief Lender

Basic Function:

Responsible for assisting in the origination and underwriting of commercial loans, construction loans and owner-occupied commercial real estate applications and responsible for managing client relationships.

Essential Duties

Evaluate, underwrite and assist with closing commercial loans, construction loans and owner-occupied commercial real estate loans

Analyze loan data on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, agent banks, borrowers and Bank credit files
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for loan officers on new, renewal and existing loans
Perform credit inquiries for the Bank as requested
Establish, review and update new and existing credit files on a regular basis
Provide technical advice and assistance to Lender as needed
Work with Lender on proposals
Prepare loan approval presentations and annual financial statement reviews
Work with Loan Operations and/or attorneys to generate and review (for accuracy) documents and coordinate loan closings

Management of client relationships

Negotiate loan extensions and renewals
Respond to client inquiries
Request and review updated financial and operating information. Confirm or recommend loan grade changes based on analysis performed
Covenant compliance testing
Update loan files
Assist in preparation of Watch Report, Board Reports and other reporting as needed
Work with Loan Operations and Deposit Operations to resolve client issues
Fund draw requests
Work with Treasury Management to meet the clients' cash management needs
Monitor and address past due loans and overdrawn deposit accounts

Additional departmental duties

Attend department meetings
Attend Management Loan Committee and Director's Loan Committee meetings
Attend Bank Officer meetings
Review information on market trends in commercial lending
Maintain knowledge of underwriting and Loan Policy guidelines
Attend training as required

Participation in CRA activities

Participation in networking events
