Mechanical Assistant - 1st & 2nd Shift

Marine Travelift is excited to add Mechanical Assistants to our team. This hourly, full-time position assists Mechanical Assemblers with machine builds. Responsibilities Complete entry level assembly work and prepare parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics to be added to the build equipment utilizing power equipment and wrenching techniques Produce boat hoist and lift components by assisting with subassemblies to produce one, large product. Assist with engines and compartments installation that includes pumps, tires, conduit and hydraulic lines. Train with mechanical assemblers to increase mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills as it relates to machine builds and grow into an assembler position. Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts Use overhead and jib cranes as needed to move steel beams and columns All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned Qualifications Have basic mechanical knowledge and/or be mechanically inclined Be able to follow verbal and written work instructions in English Be able to read blueprints Be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted 2 nd shift works Monday-Thursday; 2:30PM-1:00AM (3-day weekend); Enjoy 2nd shift differential pay!
