The Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist, reporting to the Payroll Manager, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll and benefits for the company's Canadian and United Kingdom operations. This standalone role requires a highly knowledgeable individual in the areas of benefits, payroll, and tax to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and procedures. The Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist will process bi-weekly payroll for Canadian and United Kingdom operations, maintain accurate payroll files, and assist in data entry of employee paid time off using Dayforce. They will handle various adjustments, ensure compliance with federal and provincial laws, perform quarterly and year-end balancing and reconciliations. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the administration of health, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits, as well as coordinating with various vendors for year-end processing. The Senior Payroll& Benefits Specialist will also manage leave programs, handle payment requests for benefits invoices, and provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding earnings, deductions, and taxes. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential for this role
