Payroll Specialist

Job Responsibilities Include

Process weekly, biweekly, monthly payroll with inputs from reports, exception time, and manage worksheets. Process special pay cycles as needed (bonus, incentive, commission, etc).

Transact and maintain all relevant payroll system and special transactions (status changes, leaves, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, time off accruals, garnishments, etc.) in the payroll/HRIS system.

Set up and submit all 401k employee and employer contributions.

Ensure all health/benefit related deductions are managed in payroll.

Work with payroll outsourced service provider to review and remit prepared federal, state, and local tax reports.

Support the payroll processes for global operations and locales as the company expands.

Prepare year-end payroll processing, audits and reconciliations as needed.

Initialize payroll-related G/L journal entries.

Document workflow and work procedures as Standard Operating Procedures.

Work closely with HR to assist with system implementations as needed (T&E, HRIS, Payroll, etc.), functional enhancements, testing and maintenance.

Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity. Research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities and act as liaison with service providers.
