Essential duties:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Create specialized reporting for management
  • Report on any payroll discrepancies
  • Handles employees' inquiries regarding payroll information
  • Maintain records on vacation, sick leave, etc
  • Process new hires, terminations, salary increases etc. in the payroll system on a timely manner
  • Assist HR/Benefit Operations team with other tasks as needed
  • Process manual checks for state mandated payments, terminations, etc.
  • Provide back-up support to other Payroll Administrators, as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required. Accounting is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in similar role is required.
  • Excellent excel skills.
  • Analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Deep understanding of the payroll laws and regulations.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office setting. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines to perform day to day duties and activities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
