Staff Accountant – Construction Canonsburg, PA 15317 $70,000–$90,000 Why You'll Love This Opportunity Join a collaborative and supportive accounting team Work closely with project managers and operations on active construction projects Gain exposure to all aspects of project accounting and financial reporting Opportunity for professional growth within a stable, growing organization Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Staff Accountant Responsibilities Maintain job cost accounting and ensure project costs are accurately tracked Prepare and submit AIA billings and other progress billings Partner with project managers to ensure accurate cost allocation and billing Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Assist with month‑end and year‑end close Support accounts payable and accounts receivable related to construction projects Review project financials, including budgets, actual costs, and cost‑to‑complete reports Track change orders and ensure they are reflected in project accounting Prepare financial reports and support audit requests Help maintain internal controls and identify process improvements Preferred Qualifications For The Staff Accountant Role Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project‑based accounting Strong job costing experience required Experience with AIA billing or construction billing processes preferred Experience with Sage or other construction accounting software is a plus Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
