Local travel nuclear medicine technologist for a 13-week contract in Rancho Mirage, CA. Earn up to $3,600 per week based on experience. Provide high-quality nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic services in a premier healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including scheduling and pre-procedure instructions.
• Operate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary imaging equipment following protocols.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and adherence to radiation safety regulations.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all nuclear medicine procedures, including special positioning of patients.
• Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for administration.
• Calculate patient study results and account for radioactive decay.
• Review instrument calibration data and report malfunctions.
• Monitor physiological status and care of patients during procedures.
• Maintain proficiency in IV line placement and proper injection techniques.
• Track and manage inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and supplies.
• Submit nuclear charge tickets for each patient procedure.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
• ARRT, NMTCB, or ASCP certification
• California State License
• American Heart Association BLS Certification

Preferred Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience in nuclear medicine
