Job Title Travel RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift) Location Hopewell, VA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required, with at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday per 4-week schedule | No on-call required Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Emergency Room with a 1:4 patient ratio during night shift Perform and assist with procedures including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrests, IV insertions, EKGs, pacemaker interrogation, Code Stroke, and Code Sepsis protocols Demonstrate strong IV skills with both adult and pediatric patients Utilize Meditech (EDM) electronic medical records system for documentation Operate unit equipment including Philips and GE monitors and Level 1 Rapid Infuser May be required to float to a freestanding emergency department approximately 15 minutes from the primary location Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required Strong IV skills with adult and pediatric populations Excellent communication skills Preferred Experience / Skills Trauma experience and/or TNCC certification Prior experience with Meditech EMR Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and hold self and others accountable Why Join Us Work in a dynamic Emergency Room environment with a collaborative, patient-centered team on a 13-week contract with a projected start date in fall 2026 No on-call obligations, offering a more predictable schedule for travel nursing professionals Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 792033.
