Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate targets and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop coherent care plans.
• Provide education for patients and their families to enable progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in lifelong learning through continuous education and teamwork with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A completed supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is yet to be obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
