Medical Assistant-Certified

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA-C) provides clinical support in a primary care outpatient family medicine clinic. The role involves rooming patients, collecting vital signs and medical histories, and preparing exam rooms. The MA supports one primary provider and assists other providers as needed. This position requires at least 2 years of experience, BLS and MA-C certification, and reliable transportation. The role is temp-to-perm with a 4x10 schedule, primarily during daytime hours, and no weekend or on-call requirements. Responsibilities:

• Room patients and collect vital signs and medical history.
• Set up and prepare exam rooms for patient visits.
• Support one primary care provider and assist other providers as needed.
• Perform clinical duties within the scope of the MA-C certification.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for documentation.
• Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for patient care.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to perform clinical tasks within scope of practice.
• Experience with outpatient primary care or family medicine preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Pediatric clinical experience.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Experience supporting multiple providers in a busy outpatient setting.

Special Considerations:

• Strict adherence to scheduled interview times; no call/no show disqualifies candidate.
• Position is temp-to-perm; travelers considered if open to permanent placement.
• Must be able to float within skillset to support facility needs as required.
• No weekend or on-call duties required.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule is 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (4x10 schedule).
• Typical shifts are from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Day shifts only; no night or weekend shifts.
