About the Position: We are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, organized, flexible, tech-savvy, self-motivated, and personable. The Human Resources Assistant provides day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources Department and serves as a professional point of contact for employees, applicants, and managers. This entry-level position supports employee records, onboarding and offboarding, recruitment coordination, compliance tracking, employee communications, and routine HR processes while developing foundational knowledge of Human Resources operations. The position requires a high degree of engagement, productivity, confidentiality, and attention to detail to ensure operational excellence. Schedule: Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Your Role: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources Department, including processing paperwork, organizing records, preparing correspondence, and responding to routine inquiries; Maintain accurate electronic and paper employee records, personnel files, and employment documentation in accordance with company, federal, state, and accreditation requirements; Perform heavy data entry, data processing, data review, and data storing while maintaining accurate HRIS records, trackers, reports, and organizational records; Assist with employee file audits and track required licenses, certifications, credentials, training, and other compliance documentation; Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including pre-employment requirements, employment eligibility verification, new hire materials, orientation scheduling, separation documentation, and system updates; Provide administrative support for recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, candidate communications, offer documentation, and recruitment events; Respond to routine employee and manager questions by providing approved information or directing inquiries to the appropriate HR team member; Complete employment verification requests and assist with unemployment documentation in accordance with established procedures; Support routine benefits, leave, payroll, and employee-relations administration under the direction of an HR team member; Assist with HR audits, reports, department communications, employee recognition activities, meetings, events, and other HR projects as assigned; Maintain confidentiality and protect employee and organizational information; Work collaboratively with Payroll and other departments to resolve routine data or system discrepancies; Adopt the Mountainside culture of providing a Best in Class Service to all of our clients; Comply with Mountainside procedures, policies, and regulations relevant to your role. Undertake relevant training on Mountainside’s policies and procedures as delivered by your manager, Human Resources, or other departments. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred; Prior administrative, customer service, office, or Human Resources internship experience preferred but not required; Experience with Microsoft Office or similar business applications required; familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, or learning systems preferred; Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills; Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment when handling sensitive information; Professional written and verbal communication skills; Ability to prioritize tasks, follow established processes, meet deadlines, and escalate concerns appropriately; Ability to work both independently and collaboratively; Customer-service orientation and willingness to learn new systems and Human Resources processes; Awareness and sensitivity to addiction, socioeconomic differences, and cultural considerations. Compensation: The base rate of pay for this position is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
