Equipment Operator / Class A CDL Truck Driver - Metal Recycling Facility

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to haul scrap metal in a safe and timely manner. This position will also include operating equipment to process metal. We are willing to train the right individual but someone with logging industry experience would fit right in.

Skills that we would like to see are:

* Valid Commercial Drivers License CDL.
* Strong work ethic. You will be expected to be to work on time and have excellent attendance.
* Basic knowledge for safe operation of equipment ie: skid steer, front end Loader, Log Loader (willing to train the right person)
* A willingness to learn and perform multiple job duties.
* A willingness to work in all weather conditions. This position is mostly outdoors and will require you to work in year round weather conditions.
* This position will require some heavy lifting, bending to sort metal and walking / working outdoors on uneven terrain.
* Mechanical ability to help with repairs and maintenance.
* We are looking for someone that is flexible and willing to help out in other areas. Your main job will be driving truck (semi / grapple / tow truck) but you will be required to help out in other areas of the business.
* Knowledge of both ferrous and non ferrous metals. (willing to train the right person)
* Ability to work with minimum supervision. This includes some offsite work using equipment to clean up / sort / load scrap metal.
* Willing to work abnormal hours - Early / Late / Overtime

A few of the job responsibilities are:

* Safely driving a Semi with a manual transmission and a 53 foot trailer full of scrap metal to locations in Wisconsin.
* Safely driving a CDL class hook truck with a manual transmission. We have several different size roll-off dumpsters. Delivering and picking up in the Oneida, Vilas and Lincoln County areas.
* Safely driving a CDL class Grapple / Log truck with a manual transmission for picking up metal and dumpsters. This will require you to climb a ladder and operate a grapple boom.
* Safely driving a non CDL roll back style tow truck with a manual transmission. You will be picking up salvage vehicles and smaller metal dumpsters.
* Sorting scrap metal by hand and assisting customers when they drop off scrap metal.
* Basic cleaning, sweeping and helping with snow cleanup.
* Helping with all other aspects of an Automotive Salvage Yard and Metal Recycling Facility.
