Role Description Our ophthalmic practice is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Entry-Level Billing Clerk to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, enjoys working with people and numbers, and is interested in building a career in medical billing and healthcare administration . Prior ophthalmology or medical billing experience is helpful but not required . What you’ll do: Process and review patient billing information Enter and maintain accurate patient and insurance data Assist with insurance claims and payment postings Follow up on billing questions and discrepancies Communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and team members Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data-entry Professional communication and customer-service skills Ability to learn medical billing and insurance processes Dependable, organized, and comfortable working as part of a team Previous healthcare, administrative, or billing experience is a plus, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply Onsite training provided Opportunity to learn specialized ophthalmic/medical billing Supportive professional team Opportunity for growth within a healthcare practice Location: San Francisco, Pacific Heights neighborhood
